Iran-HRM –  Suddenly, July (the month of revolutions and coups in modern Iraq), witnessed protests in Basra demanding water, electricity and jobs in oil companies. It then spread to some cities in southern Iraq and to areas in Baghdad, the capital.

Iran-HRM – Tow prisoners convicted of murder were publicly hanged today in Mashhad, capital of the northeastern Iranian province of Razavi Khorasan, the state-run ISNA news agency reported. 

Iran-HRM – At least five prisoners were hanged on Junly at Dizelabad Prison in Kermanshah, west of Iran. One of the victims is identified as Alireza Ashuri, 57. All the five were found guilty of murder.

Iran-HRM – Osman Mostafapour, held at Urmia Central Prison, northwest Iran, who is in his twenty-eighth year of imprisonment, has been deprived of furlough.
