Remembering Victims Of PS752 Shooting Down Over Tehran

Iranwire – Three years ago, on January 8, 2020, a Ukraine International Airlines passenger plane crashed shortly after it took off from Tehran while en route to Kyiv, killing all 176 people on board. After days of official denials, the Iranian authorities admitted that the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps mistakenly shot down flight PS752 with two missiles, amid heightened tensions with the United States. The Islamic Republic has put 10 people on trial over the incident, but the families of the victims have little hope this process will bring truth and justice. Its failure to protect the crash site has also been the source of many questions and concerns. This is a selection of pictures of the site, near Tehran, following the tragedy.
