CHRI – Forty civil society organizations including the Center for Human Rights in Iran (CHRI) have signed a letter urging UN member states to support Canada’s resolution on human rights in Iran that will be presented to the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly on November 14, 2018.

CHRI – Mohammad Najafi May Also Be Flogged Despite Health Concerns November 12, 2018—The attorney Mohammad Najafi is being imprisoned unlawfully while his appeal process is underway and should be released immediately, said the Center for Human Rights in Iran (CHRI). His sentence, including the 74 lashes he was assigned, should be suspended as Iranian judicial processes dictate, said CHRI.

Human Rights Activist News Agency (HRANA)- Dejected at the Judiciary’s broken promise to return him to his native Turkey, ailing 70-year-old prisoner Hatim Ertoghlu declared hunger strike November 9th.

Human Rights Activist News Agency (HRANA) – Teacher and political prisoner Abdolreza Ghanbari, who on October 13th of this year was taken to Evin Prison’s Ward 8 to serve the remainder of a once-dormant sentence, has reportedly declared hunger strike following his November 10th transfer to the Quarantine Ward of Rajai Shahr Prison.

Iran Human Rights (IHR) – An Iraqi citizen was hanged at Zanjan Central Prison on a murder charge.

Iran Human Rights (IHR) – IHR has received unverified information about the execution of several Ahvazi Arab activists. The executions have allegedly taken place on Thursday, November 8. According to some sources, as many as 22 prisoners might have been executed. 

iran-hrm – Human rights activists are reporting the regime has executed 22 inmates Ahwaz, southern Iran. The Intelligence Department officials contacted the families of some of these executed individuals informing them of their executions and having them pledge to not hold any gatherings or ceremonies.

iran-hrm – The whereabouts of three environment activists, arrested by intelligence agents is still unknown. Iran’s Intelligence and security forces in Sanandaj, arrested Shugerd and Zaniar Gulabi on October 16, transferring them to an unknown location.
