Iranwire – Shirin Saeedi, a political prisoner, has been handed a five-year prison sentence by the Revolutionary Court of Tehran.
Saeedi is currently confined to the Women’s Ward of Evin Prison.
Her conviction arises from charges of “assembly and collusion to act against national security.”
Saeedi still has the opportunity to appeal within a 20-day timeframe.
