Iran’s Medical Council Warns Of Doctor Shortage Due To Emigration

RFL/RE – Iran’s Medical Council in a March 16 report warned that the country is facing a shortage of doctors, especially pediatric surgeons, because of the increasing number of physicians emigrating from the country. The nongovernmental organization’s report cited the ongoing economic crisis in Iran as a key reason for medical personnel choosing to leave.
