Iran Human Rights (IHRNGO) – Vahid Narouyi, a Baluch man sentenced to death for drug-related charges, was secretly executed in Shiraz Central Prison.
According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a Baluch man was executed in Shiraz Central Prison on December 12. His identity has been established as 30-year-old Vahid Narouyi who was sentenced to death for drug-related charges by the Revolutionary Court.
Hal Vash which first reported the execution quoted an informed source as saying: “Vahid’s execution was carried out without his family being informed or given the chance to say goodbye to him. They were informed after the execution to collect the body.”Va
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media or officials in Iran.
More than 500 people including 2 juvenile offenders have been executed in 2022, the highest annual execution since 2017.
