According to the report, Islamic Republic agents have attempted to abduct or assassinate Ibrahim Ahrari at least four times in Malaysia in recent years; But every time the Iranian government’s plans have failed with the vigilance of this human rights activist.
According to Bayan Media Network, Ali Asghar Mohammadi, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic to Malaysia, has been consulting with government officials in recent days to arrest Ibrahim Ahrari and extradite him to Iran.
Earlier, the agents of the Islamic Republic, through an acquaintance of this media activist, tried to poison him with toxic substances; But this plan of the Iranian government was also exposed and failed at the last moment.
The Islamic Republic’s attempt to abduct or assassinate media or political activists is not new; The IRGC’s intelligence service lured Ruhollah Zam, the founder of the Amad news media outlet and a collaborator of the Bayan media network, into Iraq with deceptive plans and transferred him to Iran after his abduction.
Ruhollah Zam was sentenced to death after several sessions of a show trial chaired by Judge Salavati, and at dawn on December 12, 2020, while on a hunger strike, his sentence was carried out in Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj.
The US Federal Police recently foiled the Islamic Republic’s plan to abduct women rights activist Masih Alinejad. According to this plan, five agents of the Iranian regime had tried to anesthetize Masih Alinejad and transport him from New York State to Venezuela by speedboat and from there to Iran.
Jamshid Sharmahd and Habib Farjullah Chab are other political activists opposed to the Islamic Republic who have been kidnapped and transferred to Iran through the regime’s deceptive plans and illegal actions.
In the last five years, the Islamic Republic has also focused on Iranian refugee journalists, political activists, civil society, and the media in Turkey, using its diplomatic diplomats to assassinate some of them, such as Massoud Molavi and Arsalan Rezaei.
