Every book legally published in Iran must have a permit issued by the Ministry of Islamic Guidance. The same applies to films or musical events. Sometimes it takes years and many revisions for an author to get permission to publish and many books are never allowed to go to print.

A wide variety of books, from Homer’s Ilyad to Persian poetry and Albert Camus’ The Fall.
Copies of a book about a famous Iranian film, The Parrot made in 1978, a year before the Islamic revolution.
