The removal of security barriers around the home of Dr Noor Ali Tabandeh signals the end of his house arrest.

IOPHR- The removal of security barriers earlier today around the home of Dr Noor Ali Tabandeh signals the imminent end of his house arrest. 

Dr Noor Ali Tabandeh, the highly respected leader of Gonabadi Sufis and one of the human rights pioneers of Iran who has been under house arrest for 136 days, is a sight that will be welcomed by all Sufis and human right advocates in Iran.

Meanwhile over 700 Sufis remain imprisoned in Iran and many of whom are under harsh conditions and have been given lengthy sentences and subjected to torture.
