Iranwire – The Iranian Ministry of Intelligence claims it has conducted a “large-scale” operation against Israel’s intelligence and security agencies that resulted in the identification of “dozens of spies and terrorist elements” across 28 countries in Asia, Africa and Europe.
The ministry said in a statement on February 2 that its agents had also gathered information related to “key covert military facilities, weapons factories, and non-military strategic industries” in Israel.
It also claimed to have identified individuals involved in past terrorist operations in Iran, and offered assistance and legal protection to any Iranian citizen connected to Israeli intelligence agencies who hand themselves over to Iranian authorities.
The statement comes after the recent execution of four Kurdish political prisoners in Iran who had been sentenced to death for allegedly plotting a bombing in Isfahan last summer in collaboration with Israel.
