Zarif And Bolton Square Off In Separate Interviews On Fox

Radiofarda – Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif accused a group of U.S. and foreign politicians of conspiring to push U.S. president Donald Trump into a war with the Islamic Republic.

Zarif said that a “B team”, of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, U.S. National Security advisor John Bolton and Saudi Arabia’s crown Prince Mahammad Bin Salman are trying to inflame U.S.-Iranian tensions and push Trump “into a confrontation he doesn’t want.”.

According to Zarif, the goal is “at least” to change the regime in Iran.

Bolton immediately responded to Zarif’s accusation on the same network, calling his remarks “completely ridiculous, an effort to sow disinformation.” He added that “The Iranian people deserve a better government”.

Bolton also insisted that the policy of “maximum” pressure on Iran was in place before he joined the administration and it is now paying off, and that is the reason Islamic Republic leaders are worried.

In another part of his interview, Bolton said that Iran’s regime is not only a religious dictatorship but also a military one.

Zarif in his interview dismissed pressures exerted on Iran and said the policy is destined to fail.
