RFL/RE – Iranian hunger-striking activist Hossein Ronaghi has been transferred back to Tehran’s notorious Evin prison after being moved to a hospital over health concerns. The Mizan news agency quoted “the opinion of doctors” at the hospital as stating there was an “improvement in the physical condition” of Ronaghi, prompting his discharge. Ronaghi was arrested during recent protests rocking the country over the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini after she was taken into custody by morality police for the alleged improper wearing of a head scarf, or hijab.
