Iran-HRM – Iran hanged two men on Wednesday, in reaction to public outrage over corruption in the ruling clique. 

Amnesty – Iranian authorities must immediately disclose the fate and whereabouts of hundreds of members of the Ahwazi Arab ethnic minority being held without access to their families or lawyers, Amnesty International said following reports that some have been executed in secret.

Iran-HRM – One year has passed since a powerful earthquake struck the Iran’s western provinces, killing more than 600 and injuring thousands more. The earthquake damaged 10 cities and 1,930 villages, and destroyed more than 100,000 housing units.

VOA – Kurdish rights activists say Iranian security forces have shot and killed an Iranian Kurdish man working as a porter importing goods from neighboring Iraq, in the latest report of porters being shot dead this year.

Amnesty – Amnesty International issues a joint letter urging members of the United Nations General Assembly to support resolution A/C.3/73/L.42 on the promotion and protection of human rights in the Islamic Republic of Iran, which was presented to the Third Committee in the framework of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly.

CHRI – Forty civil society organizations including the Center for Human Rights in Iran (CHRI) have signed a letter urging UN member states to support Canada’s resolution on human rights in Iran that will be presented to the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly on November 14, 2018.
