Shabtabnews – In a statement The International Organisation to Preserve Human Rights (IOPHR) expressed its deep concern regarding the suspicious disappearance of Dr. Masood Masjoody, Mathematician, a university professor and the member of Iran Front for the Revival of Law and National Sovereignty in the Province of British Columbia, Canada.
According to official information released by Canadian law enforcement authorities, Dr. Masjoody has been missing since February 2, 2026, and due to the particular circumstances of the case, the investigation has been assigned to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT).
To date, no official information regarding his condition or whereabouts has been made public, and his fate remains unknown.
The IOPHR emphasised the necessity of an independent, impartial, and professional investigation and calls upon the competent authorities to maintain transparent and responsible public communication, in accordance with the law, including toward his family.
