Iran Warns of ‘Deadlier’ Strikes on Anniversary of Missile Attack on Israel

Iranwire – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned of “deadlier” retaliation for future attacks in a statement marking the anniversary of its missile strike on Israel.

The IRGC said its October 1, 2024, attacks ended what it called “an era of cost-free threats against Iran.”

The statement claimed the attack demonstrated Iran’s missile capabilities and undermined Israel’s Iron Dome defense system.

The IRGC said the strike responded to the killings of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, and Iranian Gen. Abbas Nilforoshan.

Iran launched approximately 180 ballistic missiles at Israel on October 1, 2024, following Israeli operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon and Haniyeh’s assassination in Tehran.
