Iranwire – A 25-year-old Tehran resident has been held incommunicado for 16 days following his arrest by security forces outside his home, according to human rights monitors.

Javad Mobarra was detained on May 5 by two plainclothes agents who approached him while he was standing outside his home.
An eyewitness reported seeing a black car pull up before the agents took Mobarra into custody.
No official information has been released regarding Mobarra’s whereabouts, condition, or legal status since his arrest.
According to the Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), his family has not received any communication from the authorities.
Mobarra was previously questioned by security agencies in late 2024 regarding his social media posts.
