Iranwire – Leila Pashaei, a 45-year-old Kurdish women’s rights activist from Saqqez, has been arrested by Intelligence Department forces in Sanandaj.

Her detention on Monday brings the total number of women arrested in connection with International Women’s Day events to four.
According to the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Pashaei was taken into custody at her family home in Sanandaj.
She had delivered a special message at a recent Women’s Day ceremony in the city.
That same evening, authorities arrested Soheila Motaei, another women’s rights activist and former detainee from the Woman, Life, Freedom” movement, in Dehgolan.
Earlier that day, Baran Saeidi, 45, was forcibly arrested at her home without a warrant, while Soma Mohammadrezaei, 38, was detained at her workplace in Sanandaj’s Almas Shopping Center.
All four activists have been transferred to an undisclosed location following their arrests, and their current condition remains unknown.
