On July 30, the day of her brother’s birthday, intelligence agents raided Hassanzadeh’s family home without a warrant, leading to her arrest.

During the violent raid, her mother, Dayeh Azimeh, was assaulted and required hospitalization at Dr. Qoli Pour Hospital in Bukan.

Her father, Ahmad Hassanzadeh, was also detained during the raid.

While in solitary confinement, Hassanzadeh went on an eight-day hunger strike. She was released on August 13 after posting bail following 14 days of detention.

This was Hassanzadeh’s third arrest in recent months. She and her father were first detained on September 5, 2023, and she was arrested again on September 26, 2023, along with three companions while traveling on the Bukan-Saqqez road.
