Pezeshkian Reaffirms Iran’s Support for “Resistance Movements”

Iranwire – Iran’s president-elect, Masoud Pezeshkian, has reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to supporting Hezbollah.

In a message to Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah, Pezeshkian emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran has consistently supported regional “resistance” against what he termed the “illegitimate Zionist regime.”

He said that this support is deeply rooted in “the fundamental policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran” and aligns with the views of Ruhollah Khomeini and Ali Khamenei.

Pezeshkian accused Israel of “warmongering and crime,” expressing confidence that regional resistance movements would prevent Israel from continuing its “criminal policies against the oppressed people of Palestine and other nations of the region.”

This communication follows a congratulatory message from Nasrallah to Pezeshkian on his election victory.

Nasrallah characterized all Islamic Republic governments as “strong, stable, and permanent support” for the resistance.
