Former IRGC Commander: Forensics Report Says Mahsa Amini Died of Skull Injury

Iranwire – A former senior commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corp (IRGC) released an audio file today saying that, according to his reliable sources in Iran’s Legal Medicine Organization, the cause of Mahsa Amini’s collapse and death was diagnosed as a “head injuries and concussion”.

A former senior commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corp (IRGC) released an audio file today saying that, according to reliable sources in Iran's forensic medicine establishment, the cause of Mahsa Amini's collapse and death was diagnosed as a "cranial injury"

Mohammad Bagher Bakhtiar, an IRGC commander during Iran’s 1980-88 war with Iraq, posted an audio file on YouTube where he accused the Iranian government of trying to cover up the death of Mahsa Amini.

Mr. Bakhtiar said: “This information is leaked by conscientious people inside the system.”

The “reliable sources” were reportedly involved in the forensic medical examination made on Mahsa Amini’s body after her death. Mr. Bakhtiar’s sources said that, according to this report, after Mahsa was transferred to Tehran’s Kasra Hospital and examined, evidence of internal bleeding and damage to her spleen was found. The spleen was removed to stabilize Mahsa’s condition.

But Mahsa’s skull injuries caused her to fall into a coma and die.

The former IRGC commander added that, if the government had used “common sense,” and accepted responsibility for this incident, and apologized for it, “maybe they would have suffered less consequences”. He also accused the Iranian government of hypocrisy and criminality and asked the young people of Iran to unite against the regime.
