The intelligence agents arrested Rashed Torkamani yesterday when he was leaving a hospital in Bandar Abbas and transferred him to an unknown location.

Marine forces in the town of Sirik opened fire on Baluch fuel carriers on March 12, killing a man identified as Mehdi Raisi in Sirik town, near the Strait of Hormuz in southern Iran.

Locals who had gathered to protest the fatal shootings in Kuhestak Port were also shot at by security forces. Rashed Torkamani was wounded in the leg as a result of shooting.

According to an informed source, “Rashed went to Bandar Abbas to treat his injured leg, but was arrested by intelligence agents today after leaving the hospital.”

“The condition of Rashed’s injured leg is very serious and he may get an infection if he does not get medical treatment,” the source added.

Rashed’s family is deeply concerned about his condition and whereabouts.

This is not the first time that the Iranian authorities arrest wounded protesters.

On February 25, Injured Baluch protesters were violently dragged out of a hospital in southeastern Iran by security forces. Locals have been protesting for five days since the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) opened fire on Baluch fuel carriers on February 22 in Saravan.

The Baluch Activists Campaign said the injured Baluch protesters were dragged out from a hospital in Shuru near Zahedan, the provincial capital of Sistan and Baluchestan province.

The report identified four of the detainees adding that one of the injured protesters, Omar She Bakhsh, had two bullet wounds in his hand and one is his leg.
