Shabtabnews – The US secretory of state in a twitter statement stated that “ Normal states do not violently suppress legitimate protests, jail their own citizens or those of other countries on specious charges, engage in torture, and impose severe restrictions on fundamental freedoms.”
Separately, in a twitter statement the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labour stated that “The Iranian regime has long restricted access to the Internet to hide evidence of the regime’s abuses against its citizens. Last year, Iran placed nearly 80 million people in digital darkness. Their internet censorship inhibits rights to freedom of expression & peaceful assembly.”
