IOPHR: Oppression of Religious Minorities, Prisoners of Conscience, Human Trafficking, and Child Sex Slave Trade by the Occupying Regime in Iran

Shabtabnews – In a statement IOPHR yesterday condemned the Oppression of Religious Minorities, Prisoners of Conscience, Human Trafficking, and Child Sex Slave Trade by the Occupying Regime in Iran.


Furthermore, in the weekly webinar on Global Human Rights issues held by USIRF, the IOPHR representative Hamid Gharagozloo gave a presentation on the state of human rights in Iran. In this presentation as well as highlighting the cases of slave trade committed by the Iranian regime, he also highlighted the conditions of prisoners of conscience like Nasreen Sotudeh, and Mohammad Noorizad .


After Mr. Gharagozloo’s presentation, he and Ambassador Brownback had a conversation about these issues where Ambassador Brownback asked Mr. Gharagozloo to pass on the relevant information and documents to the USCIRF for further action.
