PayvandNews – Iran’s men’s basketball team booked a spot in the 2019 FIBA World Cup with a win over Australia. Team Melli defeated the Boomers 85-74 in Tehran’s Azadi Hall on Sunday.

Iran were paced by Behnam Yakhchali’s 21 points, and Mitch Creek was Australia’s top scorer with 20 points.

Iran had lost to Australia 76-49 in the Melbourne in November.

The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup will be the 18th tournament of the FIBA Basketball World Cup for men’s national basketball teams.
