Political Prisoner Soheil Arabi Once Again Banned Of Family Visits

Iran-HRM – Soheil Arabi, a political prisoner held in the Great Tehran Penitentiary, has once again been banned of any visits, reports indicate.
Soheil Arabi’s mother went to visit his son today, but after five hours, prison authorities told her that her son is not allowed to have visits and sent her out of prison. The family and relatives of this prisoner have no information about his condition as the prison authorities refused to reveal his status.
Soheil Arabi is kept in the quarantine ward along with dangerous criminals who may harm him on the order of prison officials.
Recently, his personal belongings were stolen and when Mr. Arabi complained about the horrible conditions in the ward, a prison guard by the name of Goudarzi threatened Mr. Arabi to “cut his throat if he protests again.” Arabi, who has a young daughter, was arrested by the regime’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) in 2013, for publishing photos of the 2009 uprising, cartoons of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and articles about the Iranian regime. He was tortured in Evin Prison’s solitary confinement ward.
In 2014, he was sentenced to death by a court in Tehran on charges of insulting the sanctities and the Prophet of Islam on the Facebook. Then, after an international outcry, Iran’s Supreme Court commuted his sentence to 7.5 years in prison, an additional three years in prison, and 30 lashes for insulting the regime’s leaders.
