This morning, Nazakhtar (Nazak) Nikakhtar was sworn in as Assistant Secretary for Industry and Analysis. She will lead a team of trade professionals charged with enhancing the competitive position of U.S. business in an increasingly global marketplace.
For over a decade, Nikakhtar has successfully represented U.S. industries – industrial, agricultural, chemical, and steel sectors – in international trade law matters, including trade remedy matters, customs matters, and World Trade Organization dispute settlement.
Nikakhtar also served as an adjunct law professor at Georgetown University Law Center.
