There Will Be War With Iran If Sanctions Do Not Work, Crown Prince Warns

Radiofarda – Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman has once again urged the international community to squeeze Iran economically and politically, The Wall Street Journal reported on March 29.

The Saudi crown prince told the WSJ that sanctions “will create more pressure on the regime”. Meanwhile Prince Mohammad insisted that Riyadh was trying to avoid military conflict with Tehran.

“If we do not succeed in what we are trying to do, we will likely have war with Iran in 10-15 years”, he stated.

The 32-year-old Saudi crown prince was appointed as the heir to the throne by his father less than a year ago.

Saudi Arabia has witnessed a comprehensive reform campaign under the prince since his ascension to power.

The power struggle with Iran has been the main political challenge before the prince who famously threatened the Islamic Republic with war “inside Iran”.
