Iran: Prisoner’s Fingers Broken By Prison Warden For Protesting

Iran-HRM – Mehdi Narouie, a prisoner detained in the Zahedan Central Prison, was beaten by Mohammad Ali Alizadeh, the head of the prison ward, for protesting the judge’s decision on now allowing him a furlough from prison.

The fingers of the prisoner’s right hand broke and his face was also injured as a result of the severe beating. The 20-year-old prisoner has been detained in Zahedan Prison for the past 2 years on charges of armed robbery and enmity with God.
