According to close sources, the prisoners were sentenced to death on murder charges. Close sources have identified these prisoners as Osman Ghavitasi and Hamed Hamdollah.
The human rights news agencies HRANA and the Kurdistan Human Rights Network have reported on the execution of two prisoners at Urmia’s central prison on Saturday January 21. According to these reports, the prisoners were sentenced to death on drug related charges, and one of the men had disabilities and was unable to move without a wheelchair.
