HRANA News Agency – After releasing ten people of at least 15 people detained in the rally by Mohammad Ali Taheri’s supporters in front of Baqiatullah Hospital, five people remain in the “Vozara Building” in detention.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), despite issuance of a bail and showing payslips by the families, these five detainees, who have been arrested in front of Baqiatullah Hospital, are still in detention.
Ehsan Latifi, Poya Asgaharzadeh, Navid Mousavi, Ismael Hosseini and Ali Masoomi, are the the five man who are still held in detention in Vozara Building.
A close source to the families of detainees told HRANA’s reporter: “For these five men, a bail had been issued and the families have brought their payslips, but judicial authorities, under the pretext that the office was closed, refused to accept them, while the administrative office hours was not finished”.
Also it has been reported that Seyed Morteza Hojjat Najafi Koohkamareii, one of Mohammad Ali Taheri’s students and one of the educators of Erfan-e-Halgheh who had been arrested in front of his house by the Revolutionary Guards, was released after an hour, on October 23, 2016.
It is noteworthy that on the third day of peaceful assembly by the supporters of Mohammad Ali Taheri, in front of Baqiatullah Hospital in Tehran, the security forces attempted to beat the crowd and arrested at least 15 people and transferred them to an unknown location. Among the detainees, there are some ladies and a 16-year-old teenager whose mother was severely beaten while trying to prevent the arrest of her son.
Families, students and supporters of Mohammad Ali Taheri for the third successive day, after unconfirmed news indicated that “Mr. Taheri has gone to coma because of his hunger strike and is admitted at Baqiyatallah Hospital in Vanak”.gathered in front of the hospital and wanted to visit him with “flowers and sweets” in a peaceful assembly, and this gathering was attacked by the security forces on its second and third days.
It is worth noting, Amnesty International has released a statement announcing the lack of information about the fate and whereabouts of Mohammad Ali Taheri, the founder of Erfan-e-Halgheh, who is on hunger strike and urged the Iranian government to inform about his situation and whereabouts, and release this prisoner of conscience immediately and unconditionally.
Mohammad Ali Taheri, founder of the “Erfan-e-Halgheh” was arrested on March 4, 2011, and was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment, 74 lashes and fined 9000 million IRR, by the Revolutionary Court on charges of “blasphemy”, “unlawful intervention in the affairs of health and medical treatments”, “committing the unlawful act and adultery”, “unauthorized use of academic titles like doctor and engineer” and “subversive books and works”.
Corruption on earth through distracting people was the other charge against Taheri.
Mr. Taheri’s sentence of his first case has ended but, by forming a new case against him and holdover of his detention order, he has been deprived of being released.
